.-Bonhams has appointed Leslie Wright as Chairman, North America, overseeing Fine Arts, Luxury Lifestyle and Collectibles.
Leslie joined the company in 1994. She single-handedly built the US Trust and Estates team from ground up and has been a key factor for establishing its high reputation among the estate planning community both in the US and internationally. She has been involved in the consignment of many of the major estates Bonhams has sold, including the Silverman Museum Collection and the Estate of Onnalee Doheny. In November 2020, another of Wrights consignments, Einige Spitzen (Several Points) by the Russian artist Wassily Kandinsky sold for $3,270,313 at Bonhams Impressionist and Modern Art Sale in New York.
Skim milk powder (SMP) was up marginally by 0.7%.
Dairy prices fell at this week’s Global Dairy Trade (GDT), with average prices down 3.8%.
It is the first drop in prices since November 2020 at the auction and comes after a 15% surge in prices at the 2 March auction.
Prices for whole milk powder (WMP) fell by 6.3% at Tuesday’s auction, while butter prices fell by 2.8%.
Skim milk powder (SMP) was up marginally by 0.7% and anhydrous milk fat was up 3.7%.
Prices for lactose were up 8.6% at this week’s auction.

Following on from the previous auction, farm organisations called for processors to lift their February milk prices.

Prices in the latest Global Dairy Trade auction have softened slightly, with a 3.8 per cent drop across the board.
Leading the decline, Whole Milk Powder - which has the biggest influence on Fonterra s farmgate milk price - fell 6.2 per cent to an average US$4,083/MT.
Butter also fell 2.8 per cent to an average US$5,659/MT.
All other reference products were up, however, with Skim Milk Powder - Fonterra s second biggest reference product - up 0.7 per cent to an average US $3,350/MT.

Lactose posted the biggest lift - up 8.6 per cent to an average US$1,392/MT, followed up Anhydrous Milk Fat, which rose 3.7 per cent to an average US$6,155/MT.
